Image: Minefield near Port Stanley

There are minefields all around Port Stanley and at other places considered stategic, laid by the Argentine forces during the 74 day occupation in 1982,they laid 134 in total. As there are no real records of these minefields they were marked and left uncleared, note the red triangles on the wire fence that denotes the cleared boundary of the minefield. It is an offence to enter these minefields,if you survive! there could be a prison sentence or fine or both.
